Description
Standing on the northern edge of the village, and with a wonderful outlook across its own
established parkland, Brawby Park offers an appealing combination of a large period house,
extensive traditional and modern farm buildings, and attractive formal gardens. The house requires modernisation, but retains all its essential period detail and character.
The land and buildings have formed part of a successful dairy operation for many years. With
its extensive ranges of buildings and adjacent parkland and paddock, the property would be
adaptable to a variety of other uses and would be ideal for family equestrian use, or for a
significant equine business. The traditional farm buildings may also have potential for
development ancillary to the main house, subject to the necessary consents.
Located in the heart of rural Ryedale, at the confluence of the Rivers Rye and Seven, Brawby
is a small, agriculturally-based village close to all the local market towns of Malton, Pickering,
Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley. The village has access to some of Yorkshires finest scenery, with the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) lying immediately to the south, and the North York Moors National Park to the north. York is about 20 miles due south through the magnificent Castle Howard estate. Scarborough and the east coast are about
22 miles away. Malton (5 miles) has a regular train service to Leeds and Scarborough, and
excellent connections to London via York.
