The Property
Auburn Hill is a fabulous family home built around 1846 that offers beautifully presented accommodation, with an abundance of character. The house, which extends to over 6,000 sq ft, offers huge flexibility and has the benefit of planning permission for the creation of a granny flat above the existing garage block.
Outside
Auburn Hill is approached from Langton Road via electric gates and a tarmacadam driveway which leads past the turning circle at the front door on to the extensive garaging and parking.
Auburn Hill stands in beautiful manicured gardens with borders and mature shrubberies flanking the driveway and to the south lawned gardens with well stocked flower beds. To the south there is a large grass paddock with open views over Langton Wold and the gallops.
Location
Auburn Hill is situated on the outskirts of Norton on Derwent about 1.5 miles from the centre of the market town of Malton and the bus and railway stations. There are excellent road communications via the A64 giving good access to the East Coast (23 miles) and the City of York to the south west (18 miles). There is a mainline railway station at York from where London can be reached in under 2 hours. The twin towns of Malton and Norton have approximately twenty horse racing establishments. Auburn Hill has splendid views over the privately owned Fitzgerald gallops to the South.
