About Ryedale
Ryedale is a beautiful area of North Yorkshire, centred on Malton and Pickering and encompassing the Howardian Hills and part of the Vale of York, the Wolds and the North York Moors National Park. As well as beautiful, Ryedale is historically very important with many important attractions including Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall, and the ruined Abbeys of Riveaulx and Kirkham.
Ryedale is very accessible with a good road network which, via the A64, gives good access to the City of York, Leeds and West Riding and the motorway network beyond. There is a railway station at Malton with regular connections to both the East Coast and the City of York from where London can be reached in under two hours.
